Five Dollar
Ferrari (F$F!) is the long term musical collaboration between trumpeter Brad
Henkel and guitarist Dustin
Carlson. Exploring the boundaries of their instruments, they create lush
and diverse sonic landscapes- gentle breezes, harsh noises, fragmented melodies and
ambiguous tonalities. Utilizing minimal material to full
effect, F$F! patiently navigates the murky
canals that connect movement to inertia and predetermination to free
will. In Spring of 2015, they were artists-in-residence at
the Opekta Ateliers in Cologne, Germany where they composed the
newest of their set length pieces set for release late 2016.
